Sage Timberline Landscape databaseprovides the estimator with both parts and Smart Assemblies for Ground Prep, Irrigation, Plants, Shrubs, Ground Cover, and Hardscape.
You may pick parts or Smart Assemblies (whichever is appropriate), enter the quantities you measured using OnScreen Takeoff, and estimate the cost for labor and materials in seconds.
Sage Timberline's Smart Assemblies are programmed to let you answer questions such as SF of Bed, Plant Spacing, and Percent Coverage. All the math is done by the program to provide you with material, labor, etc.
Productivity is set in the database for the average job but may easily be adjusted up or down depending on the job.
The end result is a very comprehensive "ballpark" estimate in a format with notes that is presented in a printed format for your client.
You can refine the cost by "pushing" your parts to Sage Buyout. Buyout will make it easy to get current pricing from your vendors which can, in turn, be "pushed" back to your estimate. Now, you have the makings of your "hard" bid for the client.
